VegHere — Terms of Service

Operated by Cardiff (Private Limited), Singapore. A few items remain to
complete, and review by qualified counsel is recommended before a wide public
launch. Prepared 15 July 2026.

Effective date: 15 July 2026

Operator ("we", "us"): Cardiff (Private Limited), UEN 202322862D, Singapore.

By using VegHere (veghere.app and the VegHere apps), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use VegHere.

1. What VegHere is

VegHere is an informational guide to vegetarian and vegan food. It rates places on a three-rung ladder (Vegan · Vegetarian · Veg friendly), flags common hidden animal ingredients, and offers an AI menu-scan reading aid.

2. Listings are imported and not independently verified

This is important. VegHere's listings, veg levels, tags, opening details and menu readings are compiled from open data (including OpenStreetMap and Foursquare Open Source Places), automated classification, and community input. They are not independently verified by us. They may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Every listing is shown with its freshness and "unverified" status. VegHere is a starting point — always confirm details directly with the restaurant.

3. Not dietary, medical, allergy, or religious-compliance advice

VegHere does not provide dietary, medical, allergy, or religious-compliance (including halal or Jain) advice, and its content is not a safety determination. The AI menu scan is a best-effort reading aid and can be wrong. You must not rely on VegHere to determine whether a food is safe for you, free of allergens, or compliant with any dietary or religious requirement. If you have an allergy, intolerance, or a strict dietary or religious requirement, confirm directly with the restaurant before ordering or eating. You use VegHere at your own risk and remain responsible for your own food choices.

4. Your account and use

5. Restaurants and businesses

If you operate a listed business and want your listing corrected or removed, email [email protected]; see our correction & takedown process in the Data & Notices page. We act on valid requests promptly.

6. Data sources & third-party content

VegHere incorporates OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors, Open Database License / ODbL) and Foursquare Open Source Places (Apache-2.0), among other sources. Those sources are provided under their own licences; attributions appear in the app's Data & Notices page. VegHere's own compilation and content are owned by Cardiff (Private Limited).

7. Intellectual property & licence to use

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use VegHere for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, or build a competing database from VegHere's content except as permitted by the underlying data licences.

8. Disclaimers of warranty

VegHere is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that listings are accurate, current, or complete, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cardiff (Private Limited) and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on VegHere content or the menu scan (including allergic reactions or dietary/religious non-compliance). Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to VegHere is limited to the greater of SGD 100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of VegHere or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Changes; suspension; termination

We may update VegHere and these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app or on veghere.app. We may suspend or discontinue features, or terminate access for breach.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
